The MPCC initiated a Public Interest Investigation into a Military Police Unit's handling of an investigation involving one of its own officers who was allegedly intoxicated while attempting to drive with children. Complaints alleged that unit leadership altered investigative reports, directed subordinates not to report the incident, suppressed charges, and improperly gave special treatment to the officer involved. Both interference and conduct complaints were filed with the MPCC in the spring and summer of 2021.

The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service Western Region (CFNIS WR) investigated two sexual assault allegations made in late 2021 against a Canadian Forces officer posted to a base in Saskatchewan. Following a short investigation, the officer was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault; they died by suicide in early 2022. The Military Police Complaints Commission conducted a Public Interest Investigation and found the CFNIS WR investigation was inadequate, marked by undue haste, confirmation bias, and tunnel vision. The CFPM declined to implement any of the recommendations issued by the MPCC Chairperson in the final report dated in 2026.

The MPCC conducted its 14th Public Interest Investigation into an anonymous complaint alleging that in late 2010 and early 2011, the commanding officer of a military police company at an airfield in Afghanistan conducted exercises at a detainee facility to terrorize detainees. The investigation focused on the conduct of members involved in the 2011 investigation and their decision not to lay charges. As of the 2020 Annual Report, the Interim Report was still being prepared.
