The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of British Columbia investigated an incident in which an adult male sustained serious injuries after being shot in the hand with a rubber bullet by a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the Vancouver Police. The incident occurred in Vancouver in mid-2013.
