The evidence collected gives rise to the following scenario. Police officers were dispatched to an area in Toronto in the early morning. The officers arrived on scene and located the affected person in the back patio of a residence and asked to identify themselves. They refused but entered the residence with the officers. The officers were able to ascertain the affected person’s identity and moved to take them into custody. A struggle ensued and the affected person was forced to the floor by the subject officers, after which they were secured in handcuffs. The affected person was injured in the takedown and transported to hospital after their arrest and treated for their injury.
