An incident occurred in Chilliwack, B.C. on November 19, 2007, involving a hit and run on Yale Road at Airport Road. The affected person arrived at a rental centre to return a wood chipper. A report was made to the RCMP detachment, and a conversation about the hit and run driver was overheard by the affected person. The affected person attempted to go upstairs into an office space but was physically prevented from doing so by a staff member, who then instructed an employee to call the police. The police were called to report a disturbance, and the staff member remained to prevent the affected person from moving up. The RCMP attended the scene, and an investigation ensued.
