The person eventually returned to their residence after several failed attempts to speak with their family. The family travelled on to the wedding and remained out of town until the matter could be resolved, on the advice of the RCMP. Attempts were made by members of the Fort St. John Detachment to speak with the person, but they were not cooperative. The RCMP North District Emergency Response Team (NDERT) was ultimately activated.
